Where is my new number?
Your travel number is printed on the card that the SIM card is attached to. You will find your new number and the PUK number in the following areas:
Where to find your phone number and puk number

How do I activate my SIM card?
Your SIM4travel SIM card packaging contains your SIM4travel phone number and PUK number. Use the phone number and PUK number here to activate your SIM card. Please keep your SIM card holder for future reference.

How do I insert my SIM into the phone?
Remove your current SIM card from your phone, replace it with your new SIM4travel SIM and switch on your phone. Your phone will display the name of a mobile network, e.g. Vodafone. It is ready to use.

How do I know if my phone is locked?
Our service works with a vast majority of mobile phones but you must make sure that your mobile phone is unlocked.

You can check if your phone is unlocked by inserting another SIM from a different network provider in your phone.

When you put the SIM into your phone and you get one of the following messages, your phone is probably locked:

  • "Insert SIM"
  • "Enter subsidy code"
  • "Phone restricted"
  • "SIM not valid"
  • "SIM not accepted"
  • "SIM locked"
  • "Wrong SIM"
  • "Network locked"

If your phone is unlocked, your phone will display the name of a mobile network, e.g. Vodafone.

Are my contacts stored on the phone or on the SIM?
Check if your contact numbers are saved on your phone by inserting your SIM4travel SIM. If you can see your contacts, your phone is ready for use.

If your contact numbers are not available, then place your UK SIM back into the phone and copy your contacts from that SIM onto the phone.
